Jackie Stiles took the SMS team on her shoulders and carried them in the 2000-2001 campaign. Aside from an early loss to Texas Tech, the Lady Bears put up a solid campaign but not enough to secure a four seed and two home games in the NCAA Tournament. SMS’ first two games are on the east coast and next two on the west coast.

Missouri State Announces Athletics hall of Fame Class of 2009

February, 2009

Two of the most prolific scorers in Missouri State University basketball history headline a seven-member 2009 induction class into the Missouri State University Athletics Hall of Fame. The rest of the induction group includes two long-time athletics administrators and a trio of four-year standouts who took Missouri State teams to conference championships in their respective sports as the shrine’s 35th annual induction unfolds the weekend of Feb. 6-7, 2009. It will be the first Missouri State induction class to be presented at JQH Arena.
